Summary of the Case |
The Administration of NOCAL, under the instruction of it CEO Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis, approved the purchase of a vehicle (MG 2024 Rx8 SUV) from Cactus Motors for the sum of U$75,000, when in fact the actual price of the vehicle is U$45,000. It is alleged that CEO Dennis conspired with the company (Cactus Motors)to receive the additional sum of U$30,000 as kickback . This amount was allegedly given to CEO Dennis in the form of another vehicle, which is registered in the name of the CEO's Company (Tanti Group of Company), thus defrauding the Government of Liberia of U$30,000.
It is also alleged that she used her influence as CEO of NOCAL in awarding a consultancy contract to a company called " West Africa Geo-Services (WAGS)" valued at U$585,000. The allegation further revealed that the sum $300,000 of said amount was paid to the contractor, in violation of the PPCC Act of 2009 as well as the PFM law of 2009 respectively. The allegation also stated that the CEO mismanaged over thousands of United States dollars of the entity's funds intended for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to reward political supporters in District #4, Montserrado County, where she formerly served as Representative. |
Nature of the Case |
It is alleged between the period July to December 2024, under the leadership of the President/CEO Hon. Rustonlyne Suacoco Dennis, the Administration of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), violated the PPCC ACT of 2009 and the PFM law of 2009. It is alleged the administration Procured/Purchased a vehicle (MG 2024 Rx8 SUV) from Cactus Motors for the sum of US$75,000.00 and awarded consultancy contract to the Company: West Africa Geo-Service (WAGS) valued at US$585,000 and that US$300,000 of this amount was paid to the Contractor. |
