Summary of the Case It is alleged that the Bureau of State Enterprise contracted the services of various companies for the procurement of goods and services. The LACC investigation pointed out that the payment of USD$ 364,000.00 was made but the various corporations / vendors had allegedly delivered partially or a have yet to delivers as required. The investigation also stated that it is alleged that remittances sent to your institution by State Owned Enterprises (SOE) are misappropriated and cannot be accounted for.
Nature of the Case It is alleged that the Bureau of State Enterprise (BSE) contracted the service of various companies: H&A Corporation, SOK, Group of Companies, Best Choice Stationery, LIB AAK Company 2Tango incorporated, Flex Group Inc. among others. The allegation centers around procurement of goods and services that were either partially delivered/performed or not delivered/performed. Goods reportedly procured include a 125kva Generator, Scratch cards, office furniture, vehicle etc. Note: An earlier version of this case included the name of Mr. Varlee Sarnor in the case title, giving the impression that MR. Sarnor is being investigated for involvement in the alleged case of corruption. We have corrected the title to remove his name since the evidence available to us only shows that he was invited for questioning due to his role at the BSE.
