Rev. Emmanuel Nimely, Senior Pastor of the Fokay Klohn Family Fellowship Church and then Religious Advisor to former President George Weah , was arrested by officers of the Liberia National Police following complaints from citizens. Rev. Nimely was accused of duping over 90 persons out of U$87,300.00 under the pretense of facilitating their travel to Australia. The Reverend was charged by the Liberia National Police and forwarded to the Monrovia City Court for prosecution. He failed to obtain a valid criminal appearance bond for his temporary release and was ordered incarcerated at the Monrovia Central Prison where he remained until his temporary release on April 15,2025, spending nearly a year under incarceration. Rev. Nimely was released temporarily on bail by order of Criminal Court 'C' Judge His Honor Blamo Dixon in April 2025. Rev. Nimely allegedly collected U$970.00 each from about 90 persons under the pretense of visa processing fees for a conference in Australia. |

Emmanuel Nimely, then Religious Advisor to former President George Weah, was arrested in July 2024, charged with theft of property and sent to court for allegedly defrauding 90 persons out of over U$87,300.00 under the pretense of facilitating their travel to Australia. The Reverend confessed to the crime to the Liberia National Police and was subsequently charged and sent to court . Criminal Court 'C' Judge His Honor Blamo Dixon has meanwhile released Rev. Nimely on temporary bail in April 2025, spending nearly a year being incarcerated at the Monrovia Central Prison. |
